QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

• Previous experience in automotive sales, finance, banking, or customer service is an asset.
• Strong understanding of basic financial principles, credit applications, and lending processes (training will be provided).
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to quickly learn dealership management software.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Comfortable presenting and upselling finance and insurance products in a consultative manner.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing contracts, credit applications, and compliance documents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to explain financial options clearly to customers.
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow into a senior finance management role.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Junior Finance Manager at River City Ram plays a key role in supporting the dealership’s financial services department by assisting customers with financing and insurance options for their vehicle purchases. This position is responsible for ensuring an efficient, transparent, and customer-focused experience, while also protecting the dealership’s profitability and compliance with lending regulations. Working closely with the Sales and Finance teams, the Junior Finance Manager prepares and processes financing documents, presents extended warranty and protection products, and maintains strong relationships with financial institutions. This is a developmental role designed for individuals eager to grow into a senior finance management position, with a focus on learning, accuracy, and delivering excellent customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Customer Consultations: Meet with customers to explain financing options and guide them through the vehicle financing process. Discuss loan terms, payment schedules, interest rates, and lease agreements to help customers make informed decisions.
• Loan and Lease Processing: Assist customers in completing financing applications and ensure all required documentation is accurate and submitted to lenders. Evaluate customer credit profiles and match them with suitable financing options.
• Lender Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with financial institutions, lenders, and banks to secure favorable loan terms and expand financing options for customers.
• Compliance Management: Ensure all financing processes adhere to provincial, and local regulations, as well as dealership and OEM policies. Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations related to automotive financing.
• Upselling Products: Present and sell additional products and services, such as extended warranties, insurance, maintenance plans, and other add-on options that enhance vehicle ownership while contributing to dealership profitability.
• Contract Preparation: Review and finalize financing contracts, ensuring all terms and conditions are clearly stated and understood by the customer. Oversee accurate signing and processing of agreements.
• Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any customer issues related to financing or contract discrepancies, providing excellent customer service to maintain satisfaction.
• Reporting and Tracking: Maintain accurate records of financing transactions, loan approvals, and sales performance. Provide regular reports to dealership management on financing department performance.
• Sales Team Support: Collaborate with the sales team to structure deals that meet customer needs while ensuring dealership profitability. Provide guidance on financing options during the sales process.
• Performance Targets: Work toward meeting and exceeding departmental goals for financing penetration rates, product sales, and customer satisfaction.
• Training and Leadership: Train and mentor sales staff on financing products and processes, helping them understand how to present financing options effectively to customers.
• Customer Follow-Up: Conduct follow-up calls to ensure customer satisfaction with financing terms and to address any concerns post-purchase.
