Description The YMCA Allard Center of Goffstown has an opening for a welcoming and passionate Membership Coordinator as part of our department leadership team. The Membership Coordinator maintains a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals, promotes the potential of all, and provides a quality experience to the community. As a leader in member engagement, the Membership Coordinator will assist with the oversight of the day-to-day operations and personnel of the Welcome Center. They will create a welcoming environment for members, volunteers and guests at their YMCA branch. Qualifications: An Associate’s Degree or higher in communications, business management or recreation management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience At least two years of experience working in the customer service or sales field Possess strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills Able to relate to and work with diverse groups of people in a friendly and consistent manner Proficient use of tablets, computers and computer functions including Microsoft Windows and Office; high aptitude for learning new systems Shifts: Full-time hours, with some flexibility to meet staffing and coverage needs of the department Candidate must be available to work weekday afternoons/evenings and one weekend day Essential Functions: Assist with overseeing the operations of the Welcome Center including supportive functions relevant to serving new and existing members of the YMCA Process memberships and program registrations in the organizational software (SGA/Pulse) and support member inquiries Assist in onboarding, ongoing training and development of department employees Participate in and help lead regular staff meetings with direct reports to assure effective communication with Y staff, to promote support for problem solving, program development, family engagement, etc. Manage the staff schedule for the Welcome Center and related areas Support membership sales efforts Lead results-oriented tours for prospective members and coach Welcome Center Associates on related processes and expected outcomes Handles conflict, concerns, member frustrations, and unusual facility situations This is a full-time, hourly position with an extensive benefit package that includes: Pay Range: $16 - $19hr Generous paid vacation time (4 weeks paid time off & 6 Holidays – amount of PTO increases with tenure) Medical, dental and vision insurance Free Family YMCA Membership 50% discount on Childcare and Camp services Up to 25% discount on Y Programs After qualifying, 8% employer contribution to retirement fund Training and leadership development Access to Y career pathways
