Essential Job Functions Supervise and coordinate the activities of sheet metal workers on construction sites or in fabrication shops. Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications to plan sheet metal installation or fabrication. Schedule work assignments, order materials, and manage project timelines. Ensure adherence to safety procedures and company policies. Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and compliance with project specifications. Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members to maintain productivity and high performance. Communicate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to coordinate work efficiently. Troubleshoot installation or fabrication issues and implement solutions. Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are in safe working condition. Complete and submit job-related documentation, including time sheets, material usage, and progress reports. Preferred Talents Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Qualifications High school diploma or GED; technical training or apprenticeship in sheet metal work is preferred. Certification in HVAC or Sheet Metal Work preferred. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork installation, metal fabrication, and industry tools/equipment. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and construction site safety practices.
