Position Title: Staff Accountant Location: Remote   Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant to support the daily and monthly accounting operations of the company. This position will be responsible for accounts payable processing, monthly invoicing, journal entries, expense report processing, and assisting with payroll. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills, accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced accounting environment.   Key Responsibilities The accountant will be responsible for: * Processing accounts payable invoices, including reviewing invoices for accuracy, coding expenses to the proper general ledger accounts, and preparing payments. * Ensuring accounting transactions are processed timely, accurately, and in accordance with company policies. * Reconciling vendor statements and resolving invoice or payment discrepancies. * Recording cash receipts, customer billing follow-up, and accounts receivable tracking as needed. * Preparing and processing monthly customer invoices in accordance with contract terms and company procedures. * Processing employee expense reports, including reviewing receipts, verifying compliance with company policy, and ensuring proper coding. * Preparing journal entries as part of the monthly close process. * Assisting with payroll processing, including reviewing timesheets, preparing payroll, and supporting payroll-related reconciliations. * Assisting with general ledger account reconciliations. * Supporting month-end and year-end close activities. * Maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting documentation. * Assisting with special projects and other accounting duties as assigned.
