Manager, Data Analysis - Global Payment Network, Counterparty Restitution

This role will be hired as a Capital One associate but will play a critical part in project execution and delivery for Discover Financial Services as part of our integration effort.
The Counterparty Restitution team within Discover’s Global Payment Network drives analyses to help key stakeholders understand the assumptions and mechanics of the gross methodology, which is the methodology used to calculate restitution amount. The team works closely with CRP Strategy team, direct settlement team and execution team to provide data insights to firm up the key operational considerations of the program, including determine opt-out settlement amounts and support MID allocation requirements and MID allocation data model. The CRP team also collaborates with data management team define data layer requirements to track KPIs related to counterparty restitution. As the data solution-er for restitution, CRP team will create visualized monitoring reports to track key metrics for restitution and monitor the payment amount, as well as develop self-service dashboards including merchant overview and gap analysis to provide business partners the analytics insights.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a:
• Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related quantitative field) plus at least 6 years of experience performing data analytics, or
• Master’s Degree plus at least 4 years of experience performing data analytics with an expectation that required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date.
• At least 4 years of experience performing professional data analysis work
• At least 4 years of experience performing programming

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics discipline
• At least 7 years of professional data analysis work experience
• At least 4 years of experience with Python, R, Spark or SQL
• At least 1 year of experience in people management
• At least 1 years of project management experience
• At least 1 year of experience in Tableau
• Proficient utilizing and developing within AWS service

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
New York, NY: $172,800 - $197,200 for Data Analysis Manager
Riverwoods, IL: $144,000 - $164,400 for Data Analysis Manager
Chicago, IL: $144,000 - $164,400 for Data Analysis Manager
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
