Your mission As a Payment & Risk Operations Specialist at Bitpanda, your mission is to conduct pre-execution transaction monitoring to prevent exposure to financial crime and system abuse, applying first-principles reasoning to assess unusual activity by using evidence and data to balance risk and impact in a way that serves both the company and the user. What you’ll do Assess suspicious activity in fiat and crypto transactions; determine and take ownership of appropriate mitigation strategies. Analyse blockchain data to inform risk decisions with actionable insights. Provide direct customer support via email and live chat, ensuring clear and professional communication. Collaborate with internal teams on escalated cases, ensuring SLA adherence and contributing to operational improvements. Support senior team members by compiling insights on emerging fraud trends and assisting with relevant reporting.
