QUALIFICATIONS:

• Baccalauréat ou maîtrise en ingénierie électrique ou dans des domaines connexes
• Plus de 2 ans d’expérience avec les systèmes Gateway Server, SCADA et HMI (MicroScada et Intouch sont des atouts)
• Connaissance de la gestion de bases de données/SQL
• Infrastructure informatique avec des connaissances sur les routeurs, les pare-feu, les commutateurs, les serveurs et les postes de travail.
• Expérience en matière de cybersécurité.
• Gestion des sauvegardes et des images sur les serveurs et les postes de travail et gestion des correctifs.
• Expérience des schémas de contrôle et de protection CA ou de l’automatisation.
• Connaissance de base des normes électriques internationales (IEEE/IEC).
• La connaissance de C/C++ constitue un atout.
• Expérience dans le cadre de projets HVDC : un avantage supplémentaire, mais aussi d’autres expériences en TO du côté CA ou de l’automatisation.
• Expérience professionnelle antérieure dans un domaine connexe.
• Flexibilité et l’ouverture d’esprit sont des caractéristiques importantes pour réussir dans ce poste.
• La maîtrise de l’anglais, tant à l’écrit qu’à l’oral, nécessaire afin de pouvoir interagir avec les diverses parties prenantes.
• La maîtrise du français constitue un atout

GENERAL INFORMATION:

We are looking for an HVDC Operations Technology Engineer to join our HVDC team at Hitachi Energy – Montreal. You will be part of a team of talented engineers working for IT/OT Systems, reporting to the HVDC Engineering Manager in Canada. You will be responsible for defining automation equipment requirements and topology that will be used in our HVDC converter stations, working from tender phase to project execution, ensuring providers and internal stakeholders are aligned with customer requirement and applicable standards. If you have experience working on high voltage substations automation or high availability automation systems, you are eager to learn, and you enjoy working on a global structure of high technology and innovation, apply now!

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s or MSc. degree in Electric engineer or correlated areas
• 
  
• 2 years of experience with Gateway Server, SCADA and HMI systems (MicroScada and Intouch is an asset)

• Knowledge on DataBase Management/SQL
• IT-Infrastructure with knowledge on routers, firewalls, Switches, Servers and workstations.
• Exposure to Cyber Security.
• Backup/ Image handling on servers and workstations and patch management.
• Exposure in AC Control & Protection schemes or automation
• Exposure / Basic Knowledge in International electrical (IEEE/IEC) Standards.
• Knowledge on C/C++ is an asset.
• Experience in HVDC projects will be an added advantage, but also other OT experience from AC side or automation.
• Previous work experience in related area Flexibility and an open mindset are important features to be successful in this role Fluency in English, both written and spoken is required to be able to interact with various stakeholders.
• French speaking is an asset.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• As an Operations Technology Engineer, you will work mainly with SCADA systems, HMI and network infrastructure.
• You will be a part of the HVDC team and be responsible for the OT System design in our control and protection system.
• Leading system and network implementations in HVDC projects
• Building complete infrastructure of networks and systems to support operations.
• Ensuring systems and networks respects the best practices topologies, customer requirements and applicable standards.
• Participating in security assessments as a subject-matter expert
• Actively contributing to identifying and capturing opportunities for improvement
• Work together with our customers, both internally and externally, to ensure our delivery is according to their requirements and standards.
• Collaborating and networking with engineering colleagues, sharing best practice across different projects and disciplines
