The Opportunity
Carey Baptist College Forrestdale, a private coeducational Christian school with open enrolment, is seeking a passionate and skilled Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role is ideally suited for an educator who enjoys inspiring confidence and curiosity in mathematics, and who thrives on building strong relationships with students in Years 7–10, with the opportunity to teach Year 11 and 12 Mathematics courses if desired.
Set within the beautiful natural bushland of our Forrestdale campus, our school offers a unique and supportive environment that fosters student growth, character development, and academic achievement.
We encourage applications from experienced secondary-trained mathematics teachers who are passionate about inspiring students in Years 7–10. We also welcome primary-trained teachers with a strong interest in transitioning to secondary mathematics teaching. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, well-structured lessons, provide constructive feedback to support student progress, and actively contribute to the collaborative and innovative culture of our school.
Experience with programmes such as AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) and Visible Learning will be highly regarded, as will the ability to integrate real-world applications into the teaching of mathematics to make learning meaningful and relevant for students.

Delivering engaging and well-planned Mathematics lessons for Years 7–10, with the option to teach Year 11 and 12 Mathematics courses.

Encouraging critical thinking, problem-solving, and mathematical reasoning.

Supporting student wellbeing and contributing to a positive, inclusive school culture.

Collaborating with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum and learning programmes aligned with the College’s mission and strategic goals.
