Roster: Rotating 8 days on 6 days off, 7 night on 7 nights off 12 hours per shift. Machinery worked on: Underground Load & Haul and Underground Drills Responsibilities Take charge of mechanical duties, performing maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis on all Sandvik Mining equipment. Execute mechanical maintenance tasks according to plans, ensuring equipment integrity and safe operation at all times. Drive efficiency by providing insightful feedback for maintenance planning improvements. Keep meticulous records of parts usage, equipment monitoring, and time logs. Champion safety by adhering to all policies and procedures, especially Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies. About you We are looking for a Mount Isa local resident with an Australian recognized Mechanical Trade Certification. Your demonstrated experience with Trucks, Loaders, and Drilling mobile mining equipment will be a distinct advantage. You should have a strong and proven safety culture, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong customer service focus. Your motivation and determination to achieve targets and goals, along with a proactive, self-motivated attitude and the ability to take initiative, are essential. Basic computer literacy and a Class C Manual Driver’s License are required.
