The incumbent is responsible for operational aspects related to the program delivery of the MEDD 411 course in year 1, the onboarding of the Year 1 students and VFMP specific program management for lectures and Labs in MEDD 412, MEDD 421 and MEDD 422 (year 2 courses), directs staff workflow, and, in collaboration with the Years 1-4 Curriculum Delivery Manager, develops ongoing relationships with curriculum leaders, course directors, week leads and other faculty, to ensure seamless and consistent program delivery in the VFMP. This position also works collaboratively with the IMP (Island Medical Program), NMP (Northern Medical Program) and SMP (Southern Medical Program). This position requires extensive collaboration with administration at the IMP, NMP and SMP to develop new systems, processes and procedures for implementation across the distributed program. The Lectures and Labs Team Lead manages the day-to-day operations of the Lectures and Labs Team and will work as a liaison between the Years 1-4 Curriculum Delivery Manager and the Senior Program Assistants to facilitate team development and ensure successful program delivery in the VFMP. This role will be key in supporting the Years 1-4 Curriculum Delivery Manager in improvement and implementation of administrative processes for the Lectures and Labs portfolio. This position is located at both the Gordon and Leslie Diamond Health Care Centre (2775 Laurel Street, Vancouver, BC) and the Life Sciences Centre (2350 Health Sciences Mall, Vancouver, BC). The incumbent must be able to travel independently between the sites and will commute occasionally to other hospital sites in the lower mainland as needed.
