Title of Position: The Arena Operator is responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the GFL Twin Arena and associated facilities. This position ensures both ice surfaces and the overall facility remain clean, safe, and well-maintained for all users and visitors. The role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to providing excellent customer service, and solid mechanical and building maintenance skills. The Arena Operator performs a wide range of duties that vary throughout the year, adapting to the changing operational needs of the facility year round. Key Responsibilities *  Daily (winter seasonal) customer service delivery, Zamboni operation, ice maintenance, arena ice plant maintenance, facility cleaning, garbage removal and recycling, snow removal and grounds maintenance, and facility maintenance. * Seasonal start up and shut down of the ice plant. * Risk management: inspect, identify, assess and prioritize risks.  * Light/medium duty equipment and hand tool operation and maintenance. * Active participation in the Town’s Health and Safety program.
