Position Overview
At AEC Solutions we’re looking for a Principal iOS Engineer to help us build the future faster. Our users are building some of the most amazing construction projects in the world, and our platform is their central information point.
On the Mobile Platform team, we build foundational architecture widely used by customers and internal mobile engineers. This is a remote-friendly position, to be based in Canada.
Responsibilities

As a Principal iOS Engineer on this team, you’ll be responsible for the overall architecture of our core application within the Autodesk Construction Cloud app. You will help build and improve the overall health of our mobile platform to enable our engineers to be hyper-productive.

• Design and improve core offline sync infrastructure in Kotlin Multiplatform
• Build platform components in Swift and Swift UI
• Enhance observability and monitoring capabilities
• Improve the developer experience and productivity for all Autodesk iOS engineers

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years experience primarily designing, building and deploying iOS apps
• Understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms to ensure consistency to software engineering best practices including object-oriented and functional programming
• Team player — you love to teach others about cool new tricks you learned and absorb tips and tricks from developers; love solving problems as a team across platforms
• Have the passion and dedication to write highly scalable, reliable code
• Interest and experience in refactoring and improving legacy code and systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform and Kotlin/Native integration on iOS
• Experience optimizing SQL queries and managing low-level SQLite integrations
• Experience with Android development
• Experience with MVI or Redux-like architectures
• Experience maintaining a CI/CD build & release pipelines with Fastlaneå

Chez AEC Solutions, nous recherchons un ingénieur iOS principal pour nous aider à construire l’avenir plus rapidement. Nos utilisateurs construisent certains des projets de construction les plus incroyables au monde, et notre plateforme est leur point d’information central.
Au sein de l’équipe Plateforme mobile, nous construisons une architecture fondatrice largement utilisée par les clients et les ingénieurs mobiles internes. Il s’agit d’un poste à distance, qui sera basé au Canada.
Responsabilités

En tant qu’ingénieur iOS principal au sein de cette équipe, tu seras responsable de l’architecture globale de notre application centrale au sein de l’appli Autodesk Construction Cloud. Tu aideras à construire et à améliorer la santé globale de notre plateforme mobile pour permettre à nos ingénieurs d’être hyper-productifs.

• Concevoir et améliorer l’infrastructure centrale de synchronisation hors ligne en Kotlin multiplateforme
• Construire des composants de plateforme en Swift et Swift UI
• Améliorer l’observabilité et les capacités de surveillance
• Améliorer l’expérience des développeurs et la productivité de tous les ingénieurs Autodesk iOS

Qualifications minimales

• Plus de 5 ans d’expérience principalement dans la conception, la construction et le déploiement d’apps iOS
• Compréhension des principes fondamentaux de l’informatique, des structures de données et des algorithmes pour assurer la cohérence avec les meilleures pratiques de génie logiciel, y compris la programmation orientée objet et fonctionnelle
• Esprit d’équipe - tu aimes enseigner aux autres les nouveaux trucs sympas que tu as appris et absorber les trucs et astuces des développeurs ; tu aimes résoudre des problèmes en équipe sur toutes les plateformes
• Tu as la passion et le dévouement nécessaires pour écrire du code hautement évolutif et fiable
• Intérêt et expérience dans le remaniement et l’amélioration du code et des systèmes existants

Qualifications préférées

• Expérience de Kotlin multiplateforme et de l’intégration de Kotlin/Native sur iOS
• Expérience de l’optimisation des requêtes SQL et de la gestion des intégrations SQLite de bas niveau
• Expérience du développement Android
• Expérience avec des architectures de type MVI ou Redux
• Expérience de la maintenance d’un pipeline de construction et de libération CI/CD avec Fastlaneå

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $131,500 and $180,840. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
