Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telecommunications Foreman with at least 5 years of experience in the telecom industry to lead and manage a team of technicians. The successful candidate will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications systems, including fiber optic, copper, and wireless networks. As a Foreman, you will ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in telecommunications installation and maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of telecom systems, including fiber optics, copper cables, and wireless networks.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and project plans.
• Proven leadership skills, with experience managing teams and coordinating large-scale projects.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations in the telecom industry.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet project deadlines.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Certification in telecommunications systems, fiber optics, or project management.
• Familiarity with advanced telecom equipment and testing tools, such as OTDRs and splicing machines.
• Previous experience managing network installations, troubleshooting, and optimization.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Supervise, lead, and coordinate the daily activities of a team of technicians and assistants in the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecom networks.
• Ensure all projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with client specifications and industry standards.
• Plan and schedule work for the team, ensuring timely completion of tasks and resolving any project delays or issues.
• Perform regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and project specifications.
• Review and approve daily work reports, material requisitions, and time logs submitted by team members.
• Mentor, train, and guide junior technicians, ensuring they understand and follow safety protocols and industry best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site, providing practical solutions and escalating complex problems as necessary.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and other departments to ensure the availability of materials, tools, and resources for the team.
• Maintain a high standard of work quality by ensuring installations and repairs meet company and industry standards.
• Oversee inventory management of tools, materials, and equipment, ensuring items are available and in good working condition.
• Prepare and present progress reports on project status to management and clients.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and conduct regular safety meetings, risk assessments, and audits.
