Nos équipes conçoivent des équipements répondant aux besoins de nos clients, tant pour le transport de marchandises que de passagers. Sommaire du poste Le/la technicien(ne) en génie manufacturier chez CAD RI soutient les équipes d’ingénierie et de production en aidant à la mise en place des équipements, à l’optimisation des processus, au dépannage et à la documentation. Ce poste contribue à assurer que les opérations de fabrication se déroulent de manière efficace, sécuritaire et conforme aux normes de qualité. Le/la technicien(ne) joue un rôle terrain clé dans la mise en œuvre des améliorations d’ingénierie, le maintien des processus de production et le soutien aux lancements de nouveaux produits. Principales responsabilités : Soutien à la production Fournir un soutien technique sur le plancher de production aux opérateurs et superviseurs. Former le personnel de production sur les nouveaux processus, équipements et instructions de travail. Aider à l’équilibrage des lignes, à l’amélioration des flux de travail et aux évaluations ergonomiques. Documentation et rapports Préparer et mettre à jour les procédures opérationnelles normalisées (PON), les instructions de travail et les procédures de maintenance. Documenter les changements d’ingénierie, les résultats de tests et les paramètres de processus. Compiler les données de production et produire des rapports de base pour appuyer les décisions d’ingénierie. Soutien aux processus et aux équipements Assister les ingénieurs manufacturiers dans la mise en place, la calibration et la maintenance des équipements de production. Faire des recommandations concernant les outillages et équipements à utiliser. Dépanner les équipements et les processus afin de minimiser les arrêts de production. Effectuer des tests et collecter des données pour évaluer la performance et la fiabilité des équipements. Amélioration des processus Contribuer aux initiatives d’amélioration continue visant la réduction des temps de cycle, l’élimination des gaspillages et l’amélioration de la qualité. Soutenir les activités Lean, 5S, Kaizen et d’analyse des causes racines. Mettre en œuvre des ajustements mineurs de processus et participer aux activités de validation et de tests. Introduction de nouveaux produits (NPI) Aider à la mise en place des gabarits, outillages et équipements pour les nouveaux produits. Participer à la validation et aux essais de nouveaux processus ou méthodes de fabrication. Fournir des rétroactions sur la fabricabilité et les défis d’assemblage. Qualifications : Formation Diplôme d’études techniques ou diplôme d’études collégiales en génie de la fabrication, génie mécanique, génie industriel, génie électrique ou dans un domaine connexe. Baccalauréat considéré comme un atout, mais non requis. Expérience 1 à 5 ans d’expérience en milieu manufacturier (préféré). Expérience pratique en dépannage d’équipements ou en assemblage (atout). Compétences techniques : Bonne compréhension des processus de fabrication, du fonctionnement des équipements et des principes de base en ingénierie. Capacité à lire des dessins mécaniques, des schémas et des spécifications techniques. Connaissance des logiciels de CAO et/ou des notions de base en automatisation ou en PLC (atout). Excellente maîtrise des outils de mesure (pieds à coulisse, micromètres, jauges). Job Description: The Manufacturing Engineering Technician at CAD RI supports the engineering and production teams by assisting with equipment setup, process optimization, troubleshooting, and documentation. This role helps ensure that manufacturing operations run efficiently, safely, and in alignment with quality standards. The technician plays a hands-on role in implementing engineering improvements, maintaining production processes, and supporting new product introductions. Main Accountabilities Production Support Provide on-the-floor technical support to operators and supervisors. Assist production personnel on new processes, equipment, and work instructions. Assist with line balancing, workflow improvements, and ergonomic assessments. Documentation & Reporting Prepare and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and maintenance procedures. Document engineering changes, test results, and process parameters. Compile production data and generate basic reports to support engineering decisions. Process & Equipment Support Assist Manufacturing Engineers with the setup, calibration, and maintenance of production equipment. Make recommendations on tooling and equipment to be used. Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime. Perform tests and collect data to evaluate equipment performance and reliability. Process Improvement Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on cycle time reduction, waste elimination, and quality enhancement. Support Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and root cause analysis activities. Implement minor process adjustments and participate in validation and testing. New Product Introduction (NPI) Assist in setting up fixtures, tooling, and equipment for new products. Help validate and test new processes or manufacturing methods. Provide feedback on manufacturability and assembly challenges. Qualifications Education Technical diploma or associate degree in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Technology, Industrial Technology, Electrical Technology, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree is an asset but not required. Experience 1–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting or assembly is an advantage. Technical Skills Understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and basic engineering principles. Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications. Familiarity with CAD software and/or basic PLC or automation concepts is a plus.
