We are on the hunt for a Manufacturing Engineer on our Satellite Systems team at our Montreal office.   Summary: Satellite Systems: As the leading global independent commercial supplier of antennas, payloads, and electronics for communication and radar satellites, our team has successfully contributed to hundreds of missions in the past 60 years. With an extensive heritage in a wide range of solutions delivered to customers globally, our Satellite Systems team continues to grow and evolve on the ground and in the stars.   Role:  The Manufacturing Engineer is called upon to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manufacture space products used on state-of-the-art satellites. As part of a dynamic team, the engineer is responsible for inter-program cohesion and for the assembly, integration and testing of our space products (AI&T). From the design phase, through assembly, testing (thermal, vibration, electrical, etc.) and up to the acceptance of the products by the customer, he/she ensures the good quality of the product and the documentation throughout the production chain, within the time and cost limits. In addition to monitoring projects, the engineer actively participates in the continuous improvement of the various production departments (electronics, composite, antennas, payloads, supply chain, testing). Continuous improvement consists of optimizing or automating tasks, selecting, evaluating and qualifying new equipment, implementing corrective actions, qualifying new processes/products/subcontractors. He/she also contributes to the implementation and monitoring of the Lean Manufacturing philosophy and Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
