• Conduct comprehensive physical exams and obtain detailed medical histories.
• Diagnose and manage complex, multisystem diseases and conditions in adult patients.
• Interpret diagnostic tests including blood work, imaging, ECGs, etc.
• Develop and implement long-term treatment plans for chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, COPD).
• Manage acute medical conditions such as infections, gastrointestinal issues, and respiratory disorders.
• Prescribe medications and monitor patient responses.
• Provide preventive health counseling, screenings, and vaccinations.
• Educate patients on lifestyle modifications and disease prevention strategies.
• Refer patients to specialists when necessary and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
• Monitor and follow up on specialist recommendations and test results
• Provide both outpatient clinic services and inpatient hospital care, depending on the setting.
• Admit, treat, and discharge hospitalized patients under their care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
• Comply with all medical documentation standards and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with nurses, specialists, and allied health professionals.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and prognoses.
• Stay updated on advances in internal medicine and maintain licensure and certifications.
• Adhere to hospital policies, ethical guidelines, and healthcare regulations.
