Squares Pizza Pub is Detroit pizza, with a great bar program. Your neighborhood gathering spot for sports, family fun and all around good times.
As a server or bartender at Squares Pizza Pub you don’t need a ton of customer service experience. You will be asked to be fluent in what we do at Squares Pizza Pub but if you are ready to learn that shouldn’t be that hard. You have to be friendly, outgoing and good with people of all ages. We prioritize experience over perfection and want you to be excited about your individual style to enhance the guest experience whenever possible. We believe great service staff is a tour guide packed with the knowledge to take guests on an adventure.
We would like to be able to work with you to find a schedule that works for you and us. We try to be as flexible as possible. (Including working around college class schedules.)

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and have a strong understanding of the food and beverage industry. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented atmosphere. Experience in fine dining or upscale establishments is highly desirable.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred, particularly in fine dining establishments.
• Familiarity with Toast POS, or similar systems is a plus.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is essential.
• Culinary experience or kitchen knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests promptly and courteously.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
• Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to enhance the dining experience.
• Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests while maintaining a high level of presentation.
• Assist with food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service hours.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests.
• Address guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Support host/host duties as needed, including managing reservations through OpenTable.
