The Major Programmes Senior Delivery Programme Manager will be responsible for leading the technology delivery of the major transformational programmes that span the SSE Distribution business. This will involve managing a budget of £150m+, the leading and management of solution development teams and third parties. They will play a leadership role in building delivery capability within Distribution due to their vast experience in successful programme and project implementation. A vital part of the role will be understanding the requirements of the Distribution business, as well as the regulatory environment in order to achieve the desired outcomes.
Key to the role is to manage the operational aspects of the delivery teams involved, ensuring risk, legal, security and other compliance requirements are met. They are also responsible for developing a partnership approach with suppliers to achieve business outcomes whilst also ensuring a focus on commercial and efficient delivery.
They will be accountable for realising the objectives, key results and other value targets defined as part of the Programme and must have the ability to be adaptable to meet changing business environments. They will hold strong relationships and collaborate closely with the Distribution Executive team and IT Leadership team to ensure that they work they are leading on aligns to other key work in progress.
