Kinetic are seeking to recruit experienced Electricians/Electrical Fitters for a permanent role in Portsmouth.
The successful candidates will be working as part of a large Operations Division providing technical support on RN fleet assets, this includes modifications, repairs and modifications.
The role will be undertaken out on vessels that are either alongside, in dry dock, under deep maintenance or in hangers and workshops.
Projects will include carrying out electrical installation, maintenance, and defect rectification on 12v, 24v, 110v, 240v & 440v systems in accordance with the project schedules to meet MOD quality expectations.

Skills & Experience

• Have completed an appropriate trade apprenticeship, naval equivalent qualifications, or qualifications (NVQ Level 3 in an associated Trade)
• Reading/Interpreting Electrical Drawings, Schematics and Guidance information
• Carrying out Electrical Testing
• Installation, testing and maintenance of communications equipment such as VHF radios, Intercom, GPS, and AIS
• Fault diagnosis and repair
• Carrying out detailed inspections and be fully conversant in the use of all measuring equipment’s
• Using calibrating measurement equipment
• Must be comfortable working in confined spaces and or at height

The role attracts a base salary of £34,640 pa. In addition, the position includes a generous employment package.
Base Hours M-Th 0730-1615 F 0730-1230 however flexibility is a pre-requisite where hours maybe extended (0730 -1730 Monday to Friday) Note that OT premium Rates will apply.
