Description Tender Touch Therapy is seeking caring and experienced Respite Provider to join our team. Our respite providers are responsible for overall care and well-being of our clients, ensuring a fun and safe environment for them to learn and grow. We serve a wide variety of special needs including autism, ADHD, anxiety, speech, and cognitive delay. These clients thrive on mentorship, social involvement, coaching and positive attention. Our Respite providers can work alongside a multi-disciplinary clinic with Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists and Speech Language Pathologists who support this individual. We provide children and adults with a fun and motivational environment including a large gym area with toys, books and games to help them in the areas of strength, movement, sensory processing, communication, positive behavior modification, social interactions, and self-care skills. We are specifically looking for After-school/Evening hours respite workers, hours around 3pm-6pm Duties: Lead activities and games for clients of varying ages and abilities Maintain a safe and healthy environment, including ensuring the cleanliness and organization of living spaces and facilities Provide one-on-one support for the clients Build strong relationships with clients, staff, and families through open communication and positive reinforcement Consistently offer the highest level of personalized service while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic, and helpful attitude. Physical Demands: Requires a wide range of constant physical activities, including but not limited to: sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching. Requires close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Frequent exposure to and use of household cleaning products. Occasional exposure to blood or other bodily fluids. Skills: Enthusiasm to work with all children and adults, with all abilities Experience working with children and/or adults, preferably in an educational, childcare/adult care setting, or special need experience.
