We’re a customer-driven and product-minded team within TELUS, responsible for our company’s digital evolution. The Digital Product Strategy & Transformation team builds smart, customer-centric and data-driven experiences for telus.com and the My TELUS web and app.
Within Digital Product Strategy & Transformation, the UX Research team is responsible for understanding user behaviors, motivations and experiences across our digital products to further understand how we can create delightful user experiences for our customers and prospective customers.
What we’ll accomplish together
We are looking for a UX Researcher to join our dynamic team and contribute to building seamless, customer-centered digital experiences for TELUS customers. As a UX researcher, you will investigate user behavior and user needs using both qualitative and quantitative methods by designing and conducting foundational and evaluative research to guide executive decision-making. The ideal candidate will be able to combine their quantitative and qualitative skills to better understand behavior and motivations, drive product strategy and improve the overall experience across TELUS.

QUALIFICATIONS

What you bring:
-

Experience: 5+ years relevant work experience as a user researcher, including integrating user research into product designs. A strong understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods from a variety of disciplines including when and how to apply them at each product phase - you’ll know when to use surveys, usability tests, focus groups and when to use guerilla research tactics.

  • Story Telling: An organized mind to sort through all the collected data and user behaviours to give recommendations and the capability to weave this data into compelling stories using analytics to support your findings.
  • Problem Solving: The curiosity to seek out relevant information and ability to ask the right questions to obtain information, understand, and learn from user research sessions.
  • Adapt: The ability to move fast and adapt quickly to change, handle ambiguity, and work autonomously in an agile environment – you’ll have to be comfortable prioritizing simultaneous deadlines across multiple projects.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Good communication and public speaking skills to share out knowledge on user research.
