ABOUT THE ROLE:

As Transport Planner, you’ll play a key role in ensuring compliant, efficient, and profitable transport operations. Reporting to the Team Manager, you’ll be responsible for planning vehicle routes, managing drivers, and making sure all deliveries and collections meet the highest standards for safety, hygiene, and quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan daily vehicle routes for collections and deliveries
• Manage and de-brief drivers, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations
• Liaise with customers and provide effective communication as the main point of contact
• Monitor and continually improve operational efficiency
• Co-ordinate the fleet and sub-contractors to deliver cost-effective solutions
• Support with driver training, vehicle checks, and compliance with health and safety standards
• Help manage suppliers, including subcontractors, agencies, and service agents
• Provide out-of-hours support for customers and drivers as required
• Cover shifts during holidays and absences, including occasional weekends
• Contribute to a positive, motivated team environment
