ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client, a unique grocery delivery company based in Vancouver, is currently looking for a skilled and reliable Butcher to join their team on a temporary basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for food, a strong work ethic, and experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a butcher or meat cutter
  • Strong knowledge of meat preparation techniques and cuts
  • Ability to work with knives, saws, and other meat-cutting tools safely
  • Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Flexible availability is an asset
Responsibilities
  • Cut, trim, debone, and portion a variety of meats (beef, pork, poultry, etc.) to customer specifications
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety in accordance with health regulations
  • Package and label meat products for retail and delivery
  • Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
  • Operate cutting equipment and tools safely and efficiently
  • Provide excellent service and respond to internal team needs in a timely and professional manner
  • Follow company procedures and ensure quality control of all meat products
