A global manufacturer which make automotive parts in Hamilton, OH is looking for an Accounting Assistant. This position is fully onsite.
We are looking for a Bilingual ( Japanese / English ) Accounting Assistant who has a Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance. If you have a couple years of accounting assistant experience, it is a great asset.
The main purpose of this position is assisting the Accounting Manager and support all accounting team’s activity.

Responsibilities for Bilingual ( Japanese / English ) Accounting Assistant:

• Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
• Perform general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and timely.
• Support payroll processing using systems such as ADP or Paychex.
• Conduct credit analysis and assist in managing credit accounts.
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Quicken for various financial reporting tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Assist in month-end closing activities, including balance sheet reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
• Other duties are assigned by managers.

Qualifications for Bilingual ( Japanese / English ) Accounting Assistant:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Paychex, ADP) is highly desirable.
• Japanese language skill is huge plus. (JLPT N3 above)
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting principles and practices.
• Financial acumen with the ability to analyze financial data effectively.
• Experience with balance sheet reconciliation processes.
• Knowledge of credit analysis techniques is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Previous experience in financial services or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
