GROUP/DIVISION

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA’s Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The Broadband Plasma Division (BBP) provides market-leading patterned wafer optical inspection systems for leading-edge IC manufacturing. Logic, foundry, and memory customers depend on BBP products to detect yield-critical defects for process debug and excursion monitoring at advanced process nodes. BBP flagship products include the 29xx and 39xx series which leverage Broadband Plasma technology to capture a wide range of defects with ultimate sensitivity at the optical inspection speeds needed for inline defect monitoring.
Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
1. Demonstrated ability in developing machine learning algorithms for image processing and classification problems.
2. Ability to perform comprehensive data analysis to balance computational complexity and cost for proposed algorithms.
3. Proficiency in C++, Python, and Deep Learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
4. Experience with heterogenous parallel computing (including GPU).
5. Familiar with different statistical methods to analyze vast and complex datasets to explain trends, patterns, and correlations within the data.
6. Ability to work in a geographically distributed team.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. Doctorate in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with 0 years related work experience or MS with 3 years of related work experience or BS with 5 years of related work experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Demonstrated ability in developing machine learning algorithms for image processing and classification problems.
2. Ability to perform comprehensive data analysis to balance computational complexity and cost for proposed algorithms.
3. Proficiency in C++, Python, and Deep Learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
4. Experience with heterogeneous parallel computing (including GPU).
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with 2 years or BS with 4 years related work experience.
   Base Pay Range: $130,400.00 - $221,700.00 Annually
   Primary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas-KLA
