Job Summary
The Manager, Bridges and Structures – Special Projects is responsible for directing and handling capital construction projects outside of the scope of CN’s Capital and Maintenance programming for the Bridges and Structures group. The role ensures that all work is carried out in accordance with sound engineering practices, approved railway standards, latest industry best practices, with full safety and regulatory compliance, and the CN operating plan. Close coordination with the Design and Construction team as well as engaging input from the Bridges and Structures team are inherent to the role.

Working Conditions
The role is performed in a combination of office and field environments in various weather conditions with a regular work week from Monday to Friday. The role requires being available on-call 24/7 to respond to critical incidences. The incumbent is required to walk on uneven ground, climb up steep embankments, and walk long distances. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure, and stress. The role requires regular travel (up to 50%) across Western Canada where special projects are located, with potential to be away for periods of time depending on the projects being delivered.
