Overview We are looking for an experienced and passionate Communications practitioner to lead the CoreAI Communications Team. This role will report to the General Manager of the Cloud & AI Communications Team and will be responsible for working across teams to develop all external Communications strategies for this critical sector of the Microsoft business. CoreAI is building a complete set of AI-driven developer tools, on top of a full-stack AI app and agent platform, with a long-term objective of empowering everyone to shape the future with AI. The ideal candidate for this job already has a breadth of understanding for developer experiences and AI platforms. They understand the full stack of what makes developers successful. You should have a passion for technology and cloud services, AI models, developer tools, a belief in the broader company mission, and the ability to lead a team of motivated Communicators. We are looking for energetic individual with the experience to develop and execute an effective Global Communications Strategy that positively influences perceptions across multiple audiences and stakeholders, in particular AI developers, content creators, and influencers. As member of the leadership team for Cloud and AI Comms, this role will place an emphasis on developing quick twitch Communications programs including but not limited to building proactive communications programs focused on establishing Microsoft as a leader in AI-powered developer tools and programs. You will lead a team of communications experts who will drive day-to-day external communications with direct accountability for media relations, supporting executive speaking opportunities, driving cross company news, developer relations, owned content strategies, and direct engagement with traditional and non-traditional influencers. This is a deeply collaborative and strategic role that calls for close partnerships, excellence in Communications, and the ability to orchestrate work in partnership with senior leaders across key stakeholders in Communications, Analyst Relations, Marketing, Engineering, Investor Relations, and Microsoft teams around the world.
