Job Description WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING Evaluate, design, modify, and draft electronic circuitry of devices for elevator control systems Coordinate with software engineers to provide a complete modification package considering hardware/software compatibility mismatch Provide continuous engineering support for the technical support staff Evaluate product data and provide replacement options Understand and apply electrical and safety codes Estimate project price and lead time Communicate with all production-based inter-company departments to ensure modification packages are designed to minimize field installation labor Team player with the ability to work unsupervised while providing constant feedback to the team on workload scheduling conflicts and issues/hardships encountered A modification package can consist of the following: Copies of revised job prints with highlighting denoting changes to guide customers through installation. May require additional written instructions for more complex revisions Create a complete bill of materials (BOM) and provide instructions to route modification package to all appropriate production departments.
