Overview The Production Engineering and Artificial Intelligence (AI) team, part of the Linux Platform Group in Microsoft’s Azure Core organization, plays a critical role in powering Azure Cloud. This team ensures that Azure operates with the latest versions of Linux software, delivering the highest quality and performance while serving as the gatekeeper for production software. The team achieves this at Azure scale through advanced automation and by leveraging artificial intelligence to reduce manual effort. Joining the Production Engineering and AI team offers an opportunity to contribute to the growth of Microsoft’s Azure Cloud infrastructure. As a Software Engineer on this team, you will design, develop, and maintain software and automation that ensure the continued performance of Linux operating systems and related software on Azure Cloud systems. You will collaborate with multiple teams and partners to deliver solutions that enhance reliability and efficiency. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
