About the job:  Kent is looking for a Process Principal Safety Engineer, to support ongoing projects.    Skills and Responsibilities:  Responsibilities: * Promote risk awareness at all levels of the organization. * Ensure that equipment and facility designs comply with international (OSHA, CCPS, API, NFPA, EPA, etc.) and national (NTC, decrees and laws) regulations, as well as customer regulations on process safety issues. * Verify/evaluate the quality of ARPs in accordance with HSE-G-050 and fill out HSE-F-732 as part of ARP reports.  * Ensure proven competencies of ARP facilitators/analysts and document evidence/certifications in reports. Manage the closure of findings and/or recommendations of ARP workshops. * Ensure the application of Inherent Safety/Inherently Safe Design in accordance with HSE-G-118 and fill out HSE-F-486. * Corporate audits: Lead process safety audits in the development of projects. * PHA Leadership: Act as a lead facilitator in HAZOP, LOPA, FMEA and What-If studies. * Quantitative Studies: Supervise, review or execute Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) and consequence dispersion models. * Change Management (MOC): Technically validate major modifications in the design of industrial facilities to avoid and/or mitigate process risks. * Review P&ID diagrams and mechanical designs from the conceptual phase (Safety by Design). * Relief Systems: Validate the sizing of safety valves (PSV) and flare systems. * Participation in workshops on critical equipment and Value Enhancement Practices (PIV). * Participation in the development of technical offers for the execution of engineering projects. * If required, support in the development of the project cost estimate (CAPEX). * Support in Technical Queries from Clients: Respond to technical queries made by the client, interacting in formal and periodic meetings, to adequately resolve concerns and identify possible changes in scope or rework (change control). * In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. Asegurar competencias probadas de facilitadores/analistas ARP y documentar evidencias/certificaciones en los informes.  * Gestionar el cierre de hallazgos y/o recomendaciones de talleres ARP. * Asegurar la aplicación de Seguridad Inherente / Diseño Inherentemente Seguro conforme a HSE-G-118 y diligenciar HSE-F-486. * Auditorías corporativas: Dirigir auditorías de seguridad de procesos en el desarrollo de proyectos. * Liderazgo de PHAs: Actuar como facilitador líder en estudios HAZOP, LOPA, FMEA y What-If. * Estudios cuantitativos: Supervisar, revisar o ejecutar Análisis Cuantitativos de Riesgo (QRA) y modelos de dispersión de consecuencias. * Gestión de cambios (MOC): Validar técnicamente las modificaciones mayores en el diseño de facilidades industriales para evitar y/o mitigar riesgos de proceso. * Revisar diagramas P&ID y diseños mecánicos desde la fase conceptual (Safety by Design). * Sistemas de alivio: Validar el dimensionamiento de válvulas de seguridad (PSV) y sistemas de antorcha (Flare). * Participación en talleres de equipos críticos y Prácticas de Incremento de Valor (PIV). * Participación en el desarrollo de ofertas técnicas para la ejecución de proyectos de ingeniería. * En caso de requerirse, apoyar en el desarrollo del estimado de costos de proyectos (CAPEX). * Apoyo en Consultas Técnicas de Clientes: Dar respuesta a las consultas técnicas que realice el cliente, interactuando en reuniones formales y periódicas, con el fin de resolver adecuadamente las inquietudes e identificar los posibles cambios de alcance o retrabajos (control de cambios). * Además de las responsabilidades enumeradas en este documento, es posible que se requiera que el empleado realice otras tareas ad-hoc según sea necesario o lo indique el supervisor o la gerencia. Estas tareas estarán dentro del alcance razonable de las habilidades, capacidades y roles del empleado dentro de la organización.
