Description

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a hands-on Software Development Team Lead to guide and support our growing development team. You’ll work closely with our Scrum Master, Senior Product Manager, and QA Manager to ensure smooth sprint execution, high-quality code delivery, and efficient release processes. This role is ideal for a senior developer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is ready to take on leadership responsibilities while continuing to code.
Responsibilities
  • Lead by example: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code alongside the team (approx. 50% hands-on).
  • Sprint ownership: Collaborate with the Scrum Master and Senior Product Manager to plan, execute, and deliver sprint goals.
  • Delivery management: Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of features and bug fixes.
  • DevOps collaboration: Oversee and contribute to CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and deployment automation.
  • Mentorship & support: Guide developers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical coaching.
  • Cross-functional coordination: Act as a key point of contact between developers and other departments (QA, Product, etc.).
  • Continuous improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team productivity and code quality.
  • Team leadership & management: In addition to technical responsibilities, the Software Developer Team Lead will also manage the development team (team of 5 developers), including performance management, employee development, and day-to-day team operations.

Desired Profile

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or mentorship role.
  • Proficiency with Python, Java, JavaScript, Node.js, React, Django, MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, etc.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices (e.g., GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to public cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS).
  • Background in release management or infrastructure automation.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • A passion for team success and continuous improvement.
