MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN
As a Mechanical Technician with Trans Mountain, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a progressive and fast-paced group of experts. This position is based out of Bellingham, Washington, USA.
The Mechanical Technician is responsible for ensuring maximum up-time availability of the pipeline pumping equipment and components and the day-to-day safe remote Operations of the pipeline.
QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
· High School completion along with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in pipeline maintenance, industrial mechanic, millwright and or machinist is required.
· Certification from the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) and/or Journeyman certification is required.
· Open to additional company provided technical training specific to job scope.
· Maintain a high regard for personal safety, safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.
· Must be a team player with a positive attitude and be able to work collaboratively within a small group environment.
· Self-motivated, capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision.
· Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Attention to detail is critical
· Ability to work well under pressure and handle strict deadlines.
· Strong organizational skills.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS AND INFORMATION
· TWIC Card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) would be an asset.
· Class 5 or above driver’s license is required and a clean Motor Vehicle Record will be requested.
· Valid Passport with ability to travel across the Canadian and USA boarder for training.
· Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Pay: $40.55 - $51.55 per hour
