They ensure equipment maintenance, adhere to safety protocols, and support quality control. These roles focus on performing a range of operational activities in support of laboratory testing, including managing lab equipment, ensuring proper safety protocols, and supporting research and experiments. Responsible for maintaining lab functionality and efficiency. Individual contributors with responsibility in a clinical discipline or specialty. Typically involves diagnosing, treating, and caring for patients, and often include face-to-face interactions with patients. May also spend some time designing and implementing clinical programs, policies, and services using specialized knowledge and skills. Specialty license or certification required which is acquired through advanced education, training and/or experience.
