The Estimator’s role is to work closely with the Owner-Operator to provide accurate, commercially sound costings that support informed decision-making and successful project delivery. This position plays a key role in managing pricing risk, maintaining strong cost control, and contributing to competitive outcomes, while operating in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. Success in the role requires strong commercial judgement, attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a proactive, collaborative approach. Prepare detailed and accurate quotes for aluminium louvre systems, incorporating design, supply, and installation costs. Collaborate with draftsmen and other internal teams to ensure accuracy and alignment between design and estimation. Develop a strong working knowledge of the company’s aluminium louvre systems (training provided) to ensure informed and precise quoting. Utilise and maintain quoting templates to ensure consistency and efficiency in the estimation process. Embrace and adapt to new estimating software to improve workflow and productivity. Evaluate project specifications and requirements to determine appropriate materials, labour, and installation costs. Communicate with clients and stakeholders to clarify project requirements and provide timely updates on quote status. Stay up to date with industry trends and pricing strategies to ensure competitive and market-relevant quotes, particularly in the high-end residential space. Perform other role-specific duties as required. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (essential). Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role. Proven experience in estimating, ideally within the construction, fabrication, or high-end residential sectors. Familiarity with aluminium louvre systems or similar construction products (desirable but not essential; training provided). Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to ensure accuracy in estimates. Proficiency with quoting or estimating software and openness to learning new systems and technologies. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously under tight deadlines.
