We are looking for a meticulous Accounting Analyst to join a solid team based in Milford, Connecticut. This role primarily revolves around performing bank reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing journal entries and completing variance analysis. You will also be responsible for assisting with closing the books at month-end as well as some ad hoc analysis.

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations to verify the company’s bank balance matches our financial records
• Maintain the general ledger to ensure all financial reporting is accurate
• Prepare journal entries by compiling and analyzing account information
• Complete variance analysis at month end
• Conduct month-end close procedures to finalize the company’s financial activities for the month
• Utilize NetSuite to streamline accounting processes and tasks
• Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve common goals
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards
• Assist in other accounting tasks and projects as needed.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and managing general ledger accounts.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Experience with bank reconciliation
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Advanced MS Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPS are required, macros experience a plus.
• BS Degree in Accounting or Finance
