HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE AND GROW?

The main objectives and purpose of this position consists of leading a team of yourself and three other production workers to meet demands of our depots and satellites while maintaining the various pieces of industrial equipment used by the Fill Plant safely and efficiently.

• Leadership : Provide local leadership to a small team of labor workers to meet regional demands of gaseous chemicals and cryogenic liquids. Work across teams of logistics, sales and production to ensure order fulfillment rate of 92% to our clients.
• Management : Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance / Lead Hand will organize team vacation time, keeping employees on task, and be asked to implement safety campaigns locally. The candidate will also be called upon to help with local projects and maintain records that are required both internally and for external compliance.
• Maintenance of equipment: Ensures the daily and preventive maintenance of cryogenic equipment and other industrial equipment operated by the Fill Plant. Maintenance is performed according to internal procedures and government regulation. Minimizes the costs of maintenance activities and ensures their quality. Assembles, reworks, or disassembles units to meet production schedules using hand tools, powered hand tools, and basic electrical instruments
• Manages local parts inventory: Takes part in maintaining the parts inventory at a minimal level. Ensures that the inventory level satisfies the day-to-day need for parts. Manages inventories efficiently and at low cost.
• Reporting: Faithfully logs and records all maintenance into maintenance software including preventive and corrective maintenance. High quality and detailed reporting is given to your manager for review. Faithfully reports safety concerns, events, and general activity in the plant.
• Equipment Safety: Ensures that the plant equipment remains safe and clean. Maintains an orderly work area where parts and manuals can be located in a timely manner. Ensures maintenance of tools and equipment parts. Identifies all dangerous products in keeping with various program rules that apply. Always works in a safe manner. Identifies and takes part in correcting all sources of danger and accident risks.
• Continuous improvement: Recommends any improvements that could minimize the costs and/or improve the quality of maintenance activities. Works closely with the members of the FIll Plant team to resolve any problems or find new ways of improving the efficiency of the Plant’s activities.
• Safety / Quality: Improves occupational health and safety. Takes part in promoting ALC safety objectives. Knows and respects all of the procedures provided in the Quality Manual. Implements adequate corrective and preventive measures in response to customer claims. Work safely and follow appropriate safety requirements such as PPE and applying Air Liquide’s 12-Life saving rules.
