Characterization of molecular mechanisms underlying recently identified functions of Arabidopsis AtGBL3, a nuclear envelope-associated dynamin-related large GTPase, in nuclear envelope formation, global transcriptional repression and root development (Reimann et al. 2023-Nat Plants 9-766; ). The successful candidate is expected to advance this project working closely together with and supervising a DFG (German Research Foundation)-funded PhD student. Her/his efforts to secure additional funding and to attain Junior Group Leader status will be actively encouraged and supported.
