The hourly compensation range for this position is ($17 - $18) USD. The compensation provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Genus considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. This position will close for applications on December 15th. You Will Gain an understanding of genetic programs, prospecting, business building, and customer relationship management. Understand the general farm operation and handling cattle including reproductive skills and safety procedures. Acquire knowledge in seeking new ways to deliver value to customers in co-operation with the commercial sales team, technical service team and new business development. Gain exposure to real industry seminars, producer meetings and in-house meetings and publications. Assist Sales Reps on their route with deliveries, service, sales calls and with ABS udder care products. Learn and help with record analysis and reproductive consulting. Ensure ABS Global is a healthy and safe environment to work by observing both the company safety rules and the policies/guideline. Uphold the Genus core values, mission and vision. Position may require work responsibilities outside of normal business hours. Performs other projects and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements Basic Qualifications: (required) Pursuing a degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Animal Science, Dairy or related field. Experience in dairy farm operations. Strong Communication skills. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Valid driver’s license. Available for 12 weeks during the summer. Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: Passion for the dairy industry. Proficiency in PCDart, DC305, and/or BoviSynch software. Certification in Artificial Insemination.
