FINE JEWELLERY SALES & SERVICE ASSOCIATE

Sapphires Jewellers has been providing excellence in customer service for over 37 years, offering fine jewellery, custom designing and repairs on the premises.

We are looking for a responsible and highly motivated Sales Associate who is ready to take on all sales responsibilities from generating leads to closing sales. Our ideal candidate will deliver a professional presentation to customers, uphold the ideals and standards of our company, and grow with our team. The successful Sales Associate will constantly strive to meet all sales goals and exceed customer expectations.

• Regular part time permanent hours are available 18-27 hours (2-3 day shifts, including Saturday availability) a week plus peak season hours.
• Work hours are 9-6 Tuesday through Saturdays (Mondays in December)
• Minimum 1 year jewellery or retail fashion sales experience preferred.
• Hourly wage dependent on experience.

Your duties will include:

• Assisting with opening and closing procedures and display management.
• Providing excellent customer service to ensure ongoing sales and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of jewellery and a genuine passion for fashion are highly sought in this role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Assisting customers in custom jewellery design selection.
• Collaborating with customers to understand their needs and offering appropriate product recommendations to help select the ideal piece of jewellery.
• Developing and nurturing strong customer relationships to enhance their buying experience and foster customer loyalty.
• Working collaboratively with a team to conduct sales transactions using our computerized point-of-sale system (POS) and credit card system
• Accepting items for repair, contacting customers with estimates, and discussing orders/items ready for pick-up.
• Cleaning and inspecting jewellery.
• Entering repair information into the POS system and inputting appraisal details from the gemologist into the computer. Basic jewellery photography may be required for appraisal documents and inventory updates.
• Adding new jewellery items to the inventory system (POS) and pricing and tagging items.
• Proficiency in various social media platforms and a keen interest in social media management are highly desirable.
• Maintaining the overall appearance of the work environment.
