Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a Senior Application Developer for Children’s Medical Services - Enhanced Care Management Project. .The Senior Application Developer (SAD) will perform highly specialized and complex information systems analysis and programming tasks and acts as technical expert for development or maintenance of one or more major systems. This position may also function as a lead for application development projects and may supervise lower-level application development personnel.
The position will start immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and is initially funded through 9/30/26 with potential renewal.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Construct and troubleshoot HL7 and X12 message to support the EHR billing process.
• Automate workflows for data exchange between healthcare organizations using HL7 and X12 standards
• Use knowledge and understanding of database architecture to analyze data, develop, and generate reports.
• Write and execute programs to extract, transform, and load data for system conversions and interfaces.
• Analyze user requests to code, configure, test, and debug new and/or modify existing applications.
• Prepare and create test scenarios working directly with user to identify data to be processed; discuss test results; and make recommendations concerning the most efficient solution.
• Prepare, review, and validate technical documents and user manuals.
• Provide ongoing system monitoring, management, reporting, and technical support for EHR system.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5 - 7 years of System Development Experience.
• Possess problem-solving and project management skills.
• Understanding of Electronic Heath Records (EHR) systems preferably CERNER.
• Experience with EHR billing process.
• Experience with HL7 and X12 standards for the exchange of Health Information.
• Proficient in extracting, transforming, and analyzing data from various sources including EHR systems and databases.
• Experience with report writing tools.
• Possess technical support experience.
• Experience with gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
• Good communication and time management skills.
