Job Family Description
Administrative and business services professionals provide various office and location support activities. They identify, enhance, and follow specific processes and procedures to maximize the efficiencies of the business to which the support is being provided, and ensure the correct functioning of facilities, office and/or business support services.
Discipline Description
Business Analysts are professionals who analyze business processes, and data across an entire organization to optimize performance, and drive strategic initiatives. They bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions, facilitating organizational change, and maximizing the value of enterprise-wide investments. They may use Six Sigma skills for data analysis and evaluation. They take the results of the analysis and establish improvements and control mechanisms.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field plus at least five years of experience (YOE) in a relevant role, OR Master’s degree in relevant field plus at least two years of experience (YOE), OR Doctoral degree in relevant field

The Business Analyst serves as the primary link between stakeholders, technical teams, and the PMO, ensuring requirements are accurately captured, analyzed, and delivered in alignment with SRNS operational goals and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business requirements.
• Analyze existing processes, workflows, and systems to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop clear and concise business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process maps.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions to align stakeholders and clarify project scope.
• Support project managers in defining project deliverables, acceptance criteria, and success measures.
• Validate solutions through user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure requirements traceability.
• Ensure compliance with SRNS procedures, DOE/NNSA requirements, and PMO governance standards.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to drive informed decision-making.
• Serve as a liaison between technical teams, operations, and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned.
• Prepare and present accomplishments and methodologies at offsite workshops and webinars sharing knowledge with peer groups both at and off site.

Security Clearance Information
SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance.
