Responsibilities As a software engineer on the SQL Server Tools team, you will work on features and improvements in our SQL Server Management Studio. You will get an opportunity to partner closely with engineers and product from other teams including those working on the core SQL engine. The diverse capabilities of SQL Server and Azure Data services provide members on the tools team a wide array of technologies to work with. While most engineering is done in C# there are opportunities to work on other languages and platforms as well. Design and implement capabilities that will address the key needs of customers and align with improvements in SQL Server on-premises and in Azure. Contribute to technical direction and strategic planning for product development, feature enhancement, and innovation in alignment with the business objectives. Conduct code reviews and help shape and steer the team coding guidelines.
