The service will see the transition of the current pathology laboratories at the Launceston General Hospital and Royal Hobart Hospital into one pathology service. With this, there is a new team forming around existing operations and this is a new role. Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, THS Pathology will ensure procurement activities are compliant, ethical, and deliver value for money while aligning with government policies and legislative requirements. As a Contract and Procurement Officer, the role contributes to effective sourcing, contract management, and continuous improvement initiatives, supporting timely and efficient service outcomes for Tasmania’s public health system. The Role: In accordance with legislation, policy, regulations and processes, the Contract & Procurement Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with all procurement policies and procedures associated with the purchasing and procurement of medical equipment, related pathology equipment and consumables as well as services for the newly forming THS Pathology.
