This position is considered a field position and will not be required to report into a physical office on daily basis but based on operational need.

EDUCATIONAL TRANSCRIPTS:

• Performs complex ergonomic surveys and investigations for the purpose of drawing complex scientific and technical conclusions from a multiplicity of perplexing industrial risk hazards.
• Interprets varied complex technical topics and applies advanced methodologies related to biomechanics, physiology, other human factors and engineering technologies to derive engineering project controls in the prevention of injury and illness loses.
• Identifies applicable regulatory and non-regulatory standards during inspection and evaluation of existing safety program to ensure compliance.
• Prepares written and oral reports of investigation and sensitive findings presented to all skill level audiences including labor, engineering and the most senior management; counsels with employers, union representative and management/labor organization top officials to obtain, provide, interpret, or explain information for administrative policy development and/or negotiation; advises and explain implementation of measures and large-scale engineering changes required for control of losses.
• Establishes and maintains contact with safety consultants, engineering staff, all levels of management to provide service.

Qualifications
To Qualify, You Must Clearly Demonstrate:

Completion of undergraduate core program in industrial engineering or physical/natural sciences AND 12 mos. exp. in private sector or other governmental agency performing same or comparable duties of Ergonomist 2, 24512 AND 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in technical writing AND valid driver’s license.

• Or 12 mos. exp. as Ergonomist 2, 24512 AND 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in technical writing AND valid driver’s license.
• Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
