Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? We are currently seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive SEND school in the Blaby area.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience working in a school, care, or support setting is desirable – but not essential.
• A genuine interest in working with young people with additional needs.
• Strong communication skills and a calm, patient attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for a new one).
• Right to work in the UK.

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with a range of SEMH, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs.
• Support pupils in and out of the classroom to help them access the curriculum and engage in learning.
• Assist the class teacher with planning, delivery, and differentiation of lessons.
• Promote positive behaviour and help manage challenging situations in a calm, consistent manner.
• Support pupils with personal care needs where required.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all students.
