What You’ll Do as a Health and Safety Manager Champion a strong, inclusive workplace safety culture aligned with company values. Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, including OSHA and licensing requirements. Lead and continuously improve company-wide safety programs, policies, procedures, SOPs, and management systems. Conduct hazard assessments, risk mitigation, safety audits, inspections, and corrective action initiatives. Develop and deliver safety training programs, including new hire orientation, required certifications, and specialized training. Lead incident and accident investigations, ensuring accurate reporting and preventive action implementation. Manage Workers’ Compensation claims and partner with HR on employee safety matters. Track and report safety performance metrics, including OSHA logs, regulatory reports, and annual submissions. Lead the Fisher Associates Safety Committee and facilitate regular meetings. Plan and execute safety initiatives and company-wide safety communications. Requirements What You Bring, Your Expertise as a Health and Safety Officer Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Health, or related field, or equivalent experience. 3+ years managing a multi-state, company-wide safety program for a mid-sized organization (200+ employees). OSHA Construction Safety, First Aid and CPR certifications required. Strong knowledge of OSHA and applicable health and safety regulations; A/E or professional services experience preferred. Experience reviewing contracts and project safety and compliance requirements. Familiarity with ISO standards and Safety Management Systems (SMS), including Avetta and ISNetworld. Proven ability to identify hazards, implement corrective actions, and drive compliance. Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence safety practices across offices and job sites.
