Job Description AECOM in Providence, RI is actively seeking a highly motivated Bridge Engineering Department Lead to join our Transportation Business Line. This position will oversee bridge and other transportation structural design technical work, monitor staffing and provide business development assistance. The ideal candidate will perform the following: Lead the staff by offering technical guidance and mentor staff to facilitate career development. Advise project teams on technical issues, perform deliverable quality reviews, report on project status, and deliver design on schedule and within budget. Manage bridge design projects from inception to completion, ranging in contract value and complexity and coordinate design elements with other task leaders and/or group managers. Lead, monitor and review design deliverables such as calculations, reports, models, construction cost estimates, construction drawings and specifications. Manage complex technical work independently while mentoring and guiding less experienced team members. Develop and maintain strong client relationships through performance, service and effective communication. Monitor and coordinate staffing with regional bridge leaders. Responsible for managing Providence bridge team of approximately 6-10 engineers.
