Creative Lead (with Events Experience)
London | Division: Merlin Magic Making (Creative)
At Merlin Entertainments, we’re home to some of the world’s most-loved attractions from LEGOLAND® to Madame Tussauds, SEA LIFE to The Dungeons. Behind the scenes, our Merlin Magic Making (MMM) team is where that magic begins.
We’re now looking for a Creative Lead to join our London-based studio. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative all-rounder who can bring ideas to life across attractions, experiences and live events.
What you’ll be doing

As a Creative Lead, you’ll:

• Shape and drive creative concepts for new events, attractions and guest experiences across our global estate.
• Lead ideation sessions, blue-sky thinking, and concept development delivering ideas that are fresh, innovative and commercially viable.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Designers, Producers, Marketing, Brand, Ops) and external partners to deliver projects on time, on budget and at the highest creative standard.
• Translate big ideas into real-world activations, from seasonal events and live shows to themed attraction experiences.
• Inspire and mentor creative colleagues, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Proven creative leadership (5+ years), within location based entertainment, live and/or immersive events, theme parks or attractions.
• Experience developing and delivering events, festivals, residencies or themed activations.
• A portfolio showcasing real-world design and campaigns that engage audiences and deliver results.
• Strong storytelling ability with a flair for innovation and market differentiation.
• Confidence working with stakeholders at all levels, from senior leaders to IP partners.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and familiarity with emerging creative technologies.
• A team player who balances creativity with commercial thinking.
