We are looking Day-time Shift Support Workers to join us supporting 16-18 year old Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) in the new ‘Welcome Hub’ for new arrivals to the country and will be a key part of Manchester Councils strategy over the next 5 years.
The role will be part of a team providing 24/7 support to customers based on site.
You will work on a shift basis, hours will be an average of 40.25 per week worked between 8 am - 8 pm.
You will have a case load of customers and will provide regular key working sessions as well as ensuring the security and safety of the customers and the building. Additionally, support will be provided to all nine customers within the project on an emergency/crisis and or ad hoc basis as and when the need occurs.
The Building will be a hub for the wider UASC service and local team and as such there will be contact and support, usually via the telephone on an ad hoc/emergency basis to the wider UASC dispersed customers accommodated in the wider Manchester community.
