Job Description The General Works Operator is responsible for conducting general activities within the processing operations & maintenance areas as directed. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Operate and maintain Carbon Regeneration and Desorption processes. Operate and maintain Electrowinning and Smelting processes. Operate Reagent mixing and transferring plant. Monitoring and documenting Reagent levels as required. Operate Water Cart to manage dust suppression. Perform or assist with Process Inventory sampling. Be accountable for the daily adoption of plans and schedules. Assist with maintenance activities in the processing area when required. Assist Processing Plant operations when required. Perform plant isolations in accordance with site procedures. Maintain high level of hygiene standards in specific areas. Maintain high level of housekeeping standards in all areas. Monitoring and troubleshooting equipment problems and reporting in a timely manner. Entering plant data into spreadsheets. Entering work requests and purchasing items through Pronto system. Reporting Provide daily reports on progress to Process Supervisor. Qualifications Full and Current Driver Licence, ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred. Ability to drive mobile equipment would be favourable – forklift, skid steer loader, front end loader, excavator, water cart, telehandler. Working at heights, confined space and chemical handler experience would be favourable. Experience: Site experience and ability to work alone unsupervised.
